It has been so long since i last posted;a lot has been going on...I am still working on the challenge.Will be posting pictures of work,later in the week.

I did accepted to the "Mary Glover SAL",thank you .Its a sampler that will need the following...DMC #ecru,223,433,435,437,782,930,931,932,938,3011,3012,3754 & 3774..also a 15" x 22" piece of 28 -count linen(which is recommended);stitch count is 125 x217(15"x22" inc 3" allowance @side). She sent the info and pdf files...her site is http://lemarquoirdelise.over-blog.com. Also did more work on "the flag on the hill", just have to stitch the white of the flag and its done...4 down and 11 more charts to go. :)

It has been awhile since i last posted,here goes....I finially finished the 3td chart"All In A Row",3 down 12 to go.Done some more work on "The Flag On The Hill".I really like the way the flag is coming out(will keep these colors noted,in case i do another flag).To keep things interesting,signed up for another SAL"Mary Glover";hopefully i'll get accepted....On another note,my youngest daughter Delena's house burnt down(2/27)...her hubby barely got out;they totaly lost everything...inc. all her cats and 2 guinea pigs Levi&Madea...so sad.How is everyone else doing on this JanuaryCrazy SAL?

I have been working on the "TuT" chart for about 2 days now,its face shape is starting to show.This is another pic of the sheep from Romney Ridge Farm...it's snowing again in Woolwich,Maine...:)I have been trying to find a place that is selling DMC Scented floss(5-7 different scents).Does anyone know of a shop;local or online?. They do offer this on their website for $17.99 for a complete collection.

this is Lionbrand's new KAL for 2011;"Saturday Morning Hoodie"... it will need 11 skeins of Wool-Ease Chunky,#13 + #11 knitting needles and 5-7/8" buttons. The gauge is 10 sts +13 rows = 4";using #13 needles.I like the red color for this;need to see if Kelly from Romney Ridge Farm has this available.

I have been working on my "Mary Wigham Sampler"; it's being done in dmc #3760. I'm only on the page 2 part,but it is different ...www.needleprint.com is the site where the pattern is available for free;they do ask for a $1.00 per chart donation(which is not a bad deal); 9 charts total.

Day 15

YEAH!!!...Its the 15th day of this "Crazy SAL,2011" and the final chart is ..."Kitty In a Basket"by Britty Kitties III(Brittercup Designs). again I'm using the recommended dmc colors + 14-count aida.Hope everyone is enjoying their challenge...:)

Day 14

Today its the "Kitty w/Duck"...like the way Kitty is holding the umbrella ,over the little duck...:)...another Britty Kitties III design. One more day and get to take inventory of all the designs started...make a list of any floss that I might be getting low on; also to start shopping around for frames(never to early).

Day 13

The snow has finally stopped and everyone is out shoveling.Today its "Patriotic Kitty" by Britty Kitty III(Brittercup Designs).Will be using 14-count light blue aida, and recommended dmc colors.This sal has depleted my fabric stash...:)...still have a large roll of 14-count single mesh canvas(for needlepoint).Enjoy the snow everyone and stay warm.

Day 12

We are getting a noreaster 12" of snow and counting,the wind is very bad,,,some people are losing their electricity.Today I'm working on "A Life Lived For Others" by Glendon Place. It has 2 colors of seed beads;using a variegated deep burgundy floss(instead of cherry cordial,could not find it locally).Using 14-count aida ,in a light coffee color(its different,but shows the threads nicely).Hopefully i will be posting some pics of sheep out in this snow;waiting for permission from the person first...:)

Day 11

The design "Kitty/Mouse"; Brittercups Designs II is done! Started it this morning and finished it ere supper time; it will fit in a 7"+4-3/8" black frame.Will most likely put all of the Kitty charts in black frames.With this piece done;Crazy Sal 2011 challenge count is 2 charts done,13 more to go.

Day 10

Today its "Spooky Halloween" by Sheperd Bush.Love any chart to do with halloween,this one is going to be so much fun to work on...:).I know there is a free alphabet chart that features this theme...just need to find this site.

I've just finished the chart for Day9; ...YEAH!!!...:)...It will need a 5"+7" black frame.One down,14 more charts to go.

Day 9

I've been up since 3;30 a.m.;have a very bad head cold...:(... I started the 2nd design in Britty Kitties II; "cats in charge here"...2 kitties with a crown on their heads;in my house 2 may wear the crown,but 1 rules as the Queen( C.C. Pringle's...soon to be 16 yrs. old).I wish to thank my daughter Michelle,for helping me to post pics of my needlework...:)

Day 8

Today its the "Britty Kitties II"by Brittercup Designs.The charm is a little butterfly,that is over the kitty's head...real cute. All the charts are small enough to be used for a grouping of pics.There are a total of 6 charts being worked,roughly 6"+6" frames (black?)...:)

Day 7

Working on "Cats are like Potato Chips" by Designs By Lisa;it fits my home perfectly...:). only had to change dmc#814 to #304. I was thinking of using tiny black beads for the flower centers,but will wait and bring the piece to the store(to see how it will look).

Day 6

Today it will be " All In A Row" by Bent Creek; love anything to do with alphabets...:).Using the recommended colors by dmc; #310,#520,+#869...using 14-count cream aida.I've been using a lot of 14-count aida,because my eyesight is not what it use to be.. How is everyone doing on the challenge?...I'm really enjoying it...:).There is also a "ort" jar started;an 2 qt mason jar with a fruit design .Wonder how full it will get by the end of all 15 charts?

Day 5

I'm working on the Pch007 cerfs Oval,its a free chart.Using dmc #844,a piece of 14-count cream aida . I have been taking pics using a cell phone,need to get them posted.This cross-stitch maybe used as a centerpiece for kitchen table;just need to figure out how to bind it off,add a backing also...:)

Day 4

I'm working on the "2 peacocks and 2 trees" by GIGI. Using dmc #815; 27"+8" piece of cream 14-count aida.It is coming along nicely,took a cellphone pic...now to figure out how to load it to the blog.Already gave my 2 daughters a hint , that another gift card would realy be nice...even hinted that my birthday is coming up...:)

Day 3

Today i'm working on "Tutankhamun" by CrossStitcher;the design area is 12 3/4" x15 3/4".It will also be the first time using color variations+light effects.Took a trip to our local ACMoore to get some supplies;daughter gave me a $25.00 gift card for xmas...only went over $4.41.The DMC #5 cotten perle is $1.49 @ skein,so i'm hoping for a sale real soon( need 13 diff. skeins for one of the charts).It has been real enjoyable doing the challenge so far.Keep those needles flying!

Day 2

Day 2...I'm working on "Sampler de Paques" ,its from Novalee02.The fabric being used is 14-count medium beige,13"+15". Really like how it brings out the DMC floss ;just need to buy some extra colors...3326,778,3753,3347,307,743,and 741.

Day 1

I've started the sal,stitching"Flag On The Hill" from Bent Creek.Changed some colors to what was available...beige #543,red#321,chestnut#780,gold#437,blue#517,green#469,bark#433,and white#746..it did come with the fabric needed plus a charm.Would post pics,but no camera is around...:(...;hopefully one will be available soon.
